Income Assistance Scheme

Helping unemployed and low-income people generate a stable stream of income and stand on their own two feet.

Our aim

To act as consultants, advisors and beneficiaries for entrepreneurs in Bangladesh without a stable source of income. We hope to establish trust and recognition across Bangladesh for our services so that those with no way to provide themselves are aware that we are able to help.

Our plan

We will advertise our beneficiary and consulting services throughout Rangpur and the rural area around it through word of mouth and other marketing. We will organise investment and give advice to those with business ideas. This includes but isn't limited to:

  • Sewing machines for women who would like to start a fabric business

  • Rickshaws for those unable to afford their own

  • Stock to start a grocery store

  • Boats and fishing tools for fishing

We will track and maintain those who come to us for investment to ensure that they are able to utilise their investment to the best of their ability and provide further assistance wherever we can, such as setting up online payment services, or getting them in touch with potential buyers and partnering businesses.

Empowering women

Many women in impoverished areas around Bangladesh have spent time in fabric sweatshops, where they are underpaid and overworked. With their own machine, they can charge fair amounts, work on their own schedule and set up a steady stream of income for themselves. A mid-tier motorised sewing machine with a table costs only $100 AUD to purchase, set up and deliver. Donate now and change a woman's life.
